I head off for Rome in one week, after a quick trip to the beach in North Carolina. The basic itinerary for my 17 days in Italy is Rome, Orvieto, Vicchio, Florence, Cinque Terre, Bologna, Rome. It's going to be pretty jam packed. While in Vicchio I will be participating in an Etruscan Archaeological dig at Poggio Colla, a site that SMU, Penn and Franklin & Marshall College have been digging at since 1995. I hope to keep everyone updated on my travels so check back starting next week for updates and pictures!

Frank asked me last night, "Is Thea going to be an archaeologist?"
Oh, the energy of youth, we're off to the Island, keep having fun and try not to climb on your knees if possible.
Gracie has several questions about the pizza. They are both very excited about Vatican. Does His Holiness have a dog? Pablo wants to know if he does, is it allowed to poop in the square? He loves concrete.
