Just finished up lunch and thought I'd check in before meeting up with my class this evening. I headed out at the crack of dawn for Vatican City. I breezed right into St. Peter's with no line. I was begining to doubt all the hubbub I've heard about crowd. It was absolute breathtaking. As my daily torture, I climbed to the top of the dome. You can see below how high we're talking.
Thanks to some friendly fellow tourist, I am finally making an appearance in my blog. Here I am on the hike down from the top.
And on my second appearance, a little magic. Me with the ceiling of the Gesù. It's with the aid of a mirror they have place below. I think every church should do that!
Okay, my feet are killing me so I'm headed back to the hotel to rest them. Arrivederci!

You have some awesome pictures! I can't believe how much you have seen already (well, maybe I can, you are the queen of travel planning). Can't wait to hear more. Be safe.
Thea - I'm glad you made it safely and it looks like you're having so much fun!! Take care and don't wear yourself out too much! Your pictures are great - almost like postcards!
Good to SEE you, Tay! Don't go running off with any Birkenstock-wearing Monks!
These are awesome pics and I wish I was there. Keep the tours and adventures coming.
Oh, the adventure definitely keep on coming. My whole class (all of 4 students and our professor) knows that I must blog every day.
