Ennis, Texas

So technically I wasn't too far outside of the loop last weekend when I ventured down to Ennis, Texas, but I was still outside. I headed down to good ol' Ennis (pop. 16,000) to visit the Texas Motorplex and check out the NHRA O'Reilly Fall Nationals. Yep, that would be the National Hot Rod Association. The passes came from an Army friend who travels with the Army car team. With cars hitting speeds in the 300s, it was a little hard to capture the action but here are a few pics.

Savannah Trip

Last weekend I went to Savannah to visit Helen and Sean. Kim flew in as well and we had a great weekend. We strolled around the squares downtown, visited Hilton Head, SC, boated around the intercoastals, lunched on Tybee Island and checked out the kick-off to Savannah Jazz Fest.
